Safe House Demolished

Donation protected

JayNii Streetwise Foundation supports 50 local marginalized children around the lighthouse in Jamestown, Ghana- on the coast.

On May 19 Jay and Nii Quartey received a call out of the blue from the local government in Jamestown, Ghana. Their 23year old complex would be demolished the next day! Contractors would be temporarily taking over their beachfront property for 3 years. They must get out.

With no where to house 25 resident school children (they support 50, but house 25), they have been forced to bring them all into their small family home. Sleeping in every crevice of space, they are dislocated and confused.

Jay and Nii, a special couple with two children, are in a helpless state. They are at a loss on how to continue to feed these children, much less support them with shoes, books, and fees for the upcoming school year.

Donations will go to the feeding and extras that these children need in order to survive during the pandemic.

Any donation would be so very much appreciated to help this wonderful couple keep their mission alive.

I am president of Women InSpirit, Inc. , a nonprofit whose mission is to educate young girls. We spent 2019 getting prepared to open our 3rd sewing school at JayNii Streetwise. Unfortunately we lost the building, but were able to save our new tables and stools. But this tragedy is bigger than our sewing school.
Our friends are deeply in need.
I want to help in any way we can!
I need your help!
