Orphanage and School of Tim Harrington Fundraiser

 TJ and Yesaya Mwashala

I am headed back to Tanzania in January 2023 and ready to take on our next projects to help at the orphanage and School of Tim Harrington.

Over the last six years of visiting Tanzania to hike Mt Kilimanjaro with clients, I have made several visits to local orphanages near Moshi and Arusha, Tanzania. Having seen the conditions under which these children live. I felt helpless that there was little I could do to help other than, along with friends and clients, to bring small donations of food and school supplies to the school. Many of the children do not yet have sponsors to cover the expenses to live at the school. Together, we can provide the new school site in Korogwe to accomplish more to help feed, clothe, house and educate these children.

We hope to fund the following projects with this campaign:

1. Chicken coop: $670 supplies and construction
2. Tables and desks: $1200@ $30 each. 20 tables/20 desks
3. Dorm: $5200 The dorm will accommodate 20 more children.
4. Solar Panel: $4500 upgrade solar power, including batteries
5. Water Well: $18764.15 please get in touch with me to get a copy of the Bill of Quantities for Borehole Drilling for SOTH
6. Electricity $2720= Will provide access to electricity for the school

Any amount will be very much appreciated by those of you who have the means to help. Please share this and ask others to share so we can change lives together.

About the Orphanage & School- The original orphanage and school were founded by Yesaya Mwashala and located in Arusha, Tanzania. The school has been moved to a new site in Korogwe, Tanzania. The school was relocated to incorporate sustainable farming on the site's 13.5-acre lot. By doing this, they will be able to grow grains, greens, and fruit. This new location also provides a safer place for kids who have been victims of sexual & domestic abuse as well as used by adults for drug and human trafficking.

The school can currently house, feed and clothe 42 children and provide educational services to them, as well as education to over 100 children living in the communities off-site in Korogwe.

For those skeptical about fundraisers, I understand and share your sentiment. On multiple occasions, I have personally met the school's founder, Yesaya Mwashala. He has given me a tour of just a few of the communities from where these children have come. I will be headed back to Africa in 2023 to visit the new school and look forward to helping this community grow and provide for these children. Contact me if you have additional questions about this fundraiser and how the money will be spent.

Our first fundraiser allowed us to purchase the materials and build a water collection tank.
