Oreo’s bladder stone surgery

Oreo is a ten year old border collie who is full of love and personality. He was rescued from a bad situation when he was only two years old. Since then, he’s been a major part of our family and has sparked so much joy. Everyone he meets always remembers him because he is just so sweet, silly, and snuggly. If you’ve ever met Oreo, you know exactly what I’m talking about!  

A few days ago he was taken to the emergency vet because he had not gone potty in over a day. We were informed that he had struvite bladder stones and one of the storms was stuck in his urethra blocking him from being able to urinate. 

The vet was able to push the stone back in his bladder so Oreo could be able to pee again. We were told that he would need to be on a special diet for the remainder of his life and that it is likely that the stone will come back up and block again- which is life threatening.

This morning the same thing happened again. His mamas are very worried about him and want him to be ok. We are asking for help so that he can get the surgery he needs to remove the bladder stones. He’s a good boy that deserves a chance and it breaks my heart and scares me half to death that we cannot afford his surgery.
