Oregon United 03 Boys trip to Nationals

Donation protected
During the first minute of the first game of the 2018 US Club Soccer National Tournament, the star goalkeeper of the Oregon United 03 Boys suffered a season-ending injury.  In less than 60 seconds, an opposing player illegally tackled the goalie, shattering his leg as well as the team's aspiration of winning a national title.

For any team, losing on a stage this big would be a devastating blow.  But for the 03 Boys--many who come from low-income families of immigrants and refugees--the end of their hard-fought season felt especially unfair, as securing the funding for the five-day trip to Denver was almost as difficult as earning their spot in the tournament.

Now, a year later, the 03 Boys have returned victoriously...winning the 2019 US Club Soccer Northwest Regionals, as well as the right to play again for the cup in the 2019 US Club Soccer National Tournament.  Not only is this tournament an opportunity for redemption, it is a chance for these young players to put their talents on display for college and  professional coaches and scouts from around the nation.  Unfortunately, many of the players are not able to afford the $20,000 trip.

Prior to official registration in the tournament, the 03 Boys must raise funds for airline tickets to and from Denver, accommodations, meals, and ground transportation.  We are grateful and humbled by the support we have already received this season, and continue to appreciate every donation big or small.  Without our friends, families, and fans, none of this would be possible!  We look forward to representing Oregon youth soccer with respect, dignity, and class!
