ABOUT THIS CAMPAIGN
Millennials and Gen Z are the two largest generations of voters in the US, however young people vote at lower rates than older people. How can we mobilize this group to make a difference in the crucial 2024 Presidential election?
Our short 10-minute animated film, How Orange Bear Came to Rule Bear Country, will be distributed free online with motivating and entertaining messages about what happens when people don’t turn out to vote.
Through this film, we will bring to light events that people might not be aware of and expose who Orange Bear really is. We want people to see the danger and horror that could be unleashed if Orange Bear is elected President of Bear Country again. Make no mistake, that is a very real possibility in 2024. There is no provision in the Bear Country Constitution that prevents an orange terror from ruling over Bear Country!
STORY
Orange Bear is the President of Bear Country, the strongest, most dominant country on the planet. He wears the Polar Crown, the One Crown to Rule Them All. Orange Bear is a terrible narcissistic animal, who thinks he can shoot animals in public and get away with it, which he probably could. This biopic begins from Orange Bear's childhood, when he was bullied and didn’t get enough hugs from his white hood-wearing Real Estate Bear father, and follows him as he bankrupts many businesses, becomes a TV infomercial star, rips fur out of female bears, and wins a national election against the first female Polar Bear running for president of Bear Country.
AUDIENCE
We aim to entertain and educate viewers of all ages. However, our main audience is Millennials and older Gen Z folx. Millennials are the largest generation since the Baby Boomers that will be voting age for the 2024 election.
HOW THE FILM WILL BE USED
This film will tell the true story of a very terrible, horrible Orange Bear. Everything in the film is based on a real quote or alleged event. We’ve dug into the real-life history of Orange Bear and exaggerated it for comedic purposes. We aim to expose his history of wrongdoings that people might not be aware of and inform them of the dangers of his behaviors. It will be used to engage young people to encourage them to vote. People will see the film and messages that their vote matters. Then they can be informed voters and stop Orange Bear from becoming president of Bear Country ever again!
WHERE WILL THE FILM BE SEEN
We intend for this film to be widely viewed for free. The whole 10 minute film will be available on YouTube with a call to action. We will also make shorter clips for TikTok and Instagram with get-out-the-vote messages. Through Patreon, we can offer an ad-free version of the 10 minute film and other exclusive content.

How Your Money Will Be Used - Goal: $165,900*
Your donations will go toward the following:
- Animation - $90,000
- Character and background design - $10,000
- Music design/sound mix - $5,000
- Voice actors - $6,000
- Co-writer/Co-creators - $42,000
- Campaign Manager's Fee - 5% of all donations raised (a minimum of $7,900)
- GoFundMe fees - $5000 (2.9% + $0.30 per donation)

Animation takes a lot of labor, and we’re not using AI to make this film! We based our numbers on estimates given to us by independent production companies and professionals in the field.

What can we do if we exceed our funding goal? We will invest in more sophisticated animation, compensate our actors better, hire a composer, and create more stunning visual and sound effects! We will also create more customized social media videos for voter engagement.

We are very anti-Orange Bear and welcome others who are too. ABOUT THE CO-CREATORS
Rabbit is an artist/writer and a queer non-binary Chinese-American who is politically active, educated about our country's history and very concerned about what is happening. They're worried about who might be in charge of Bear Country in the future.
Bunny is a filmmaker and activist, who is passionate about making films about immigrants and people of color as a second generation Asian-American immigrant. She is hoping she doesn't have to leave Bear Country due to the terrible consequences of re-electing a horrible Orange Bear.
