Orange Ribbons for Jaime Pre-morial Fund
On February 14th, 2018 Jaime Guttenberg, along with 16 other victims, was tragically murdered by a troubled former student at her high school in Parkland, FL. She was only 14 years old. Following the tragedy, her parents Fred and Jennifer formed Orange Ribbons For Jaime (ORFJ), a 501(c)(3) to honor their daughter by supporting causes important to her in life, but also causes that deal with the way her life was tragically cut short.
As time goes by, the unimaginable void the Guttenbergs feel never fades but only grows stronger, and the never ending daily loss due to gun violence continues to only escalate-- leaving more families in the same tragic position. With this in mind, they are launching a new initiative that provides support to other families affected by gun violence.
To date, the organization has awarded more than $70K in college scholarships, as well as supported a multitude of national and local causes near and dear to Jaime’s heart. For the past 3 years, their focus has been #ForeverJaime - keeping her legacy alive and helping those that Jaime would have wanted to help if she were still here.
With your help, we can take action, create a resource center for those in need, and do our part to create change, make a difference, and honor Jaime.
We appreciate your support.
