Cancer Treatments

In November of 2016, Angie and I left a restaurant in Northville with our good friends Thayrone and Linda Hughes because she was complaining of severe abdominal pain.  Together, we went to St. Joseph Mercy Hospital in Ypsilanti.  We thought it might be gall bladder issues.  We were wrong.  After being in remission for years, the doctor came into the patient room to tell us that our dear friend Linda had Stage 4 metastatic breast cancer.  Not the news we were expecting, but Linda handled the news with her usual grace and trust in the Lord.

Since then, she has been received chemotherapy and other treatments to pound the cancer back into remission.  She has had good days and bad days.  Lately, she has had to start carrying around a portable oxygen generator to help her breathe as the cancer has spread to her lungs.  Her and Thayrone are now exploring additional treatment options - all of which cost a significant amount of money.  

We would like to ensure that she is able to have access to the best treatment options available.  In order to do so, we need your help.  $100,000 would help her take advantage of the best treatments available domestically and abroad.

Anyone who knows Linda, knows that she is truly special.  She brings joy and peace into the lives of all those she encounters.  Her wisdom is born of a true relationship with Christ.  Angie and I are perhaps selfish, but we would like to enjoy her friendship in our lives for many more years to come.  Many of you are likewise afflicted because of the way that she has touched your life.
