Opportunity Hub Fundraiser

Opportunity Hub is a youth-led organisation focusing on bridging the gap between opportunities, access to information and young people. 

We were founded in 2018 by our founder, Olamide Taiwo, to support our peers in finding opportunities in London. Olamide realised some opportunities like internships, work experiences and many more were not always given in schools and her peers agreed. Especially, for those that wanted to delve into the creative industry, so she created an online platform to do exactly this. A hub for opportunities, events and tips for young people in London.
have been working at spreading awareness of a range of opportunities to young people. Our focus also entails self-care, self-development and educational resources that we can share with the community. 

Last year (2021) the OH team grew and has allowed for us to reach a larger audience and put out content and opportunities more frequently. Thanks to the team at OH we have planned our first in-person event!

 

During the Easter period, OH is planned to have an event surrounding the theme of self care.  We want to focus on self-care in our physical health, nutrition, mental health, relationships and ourselves. We are hoping to bring in speakers and professionals to give us and the attendees the tips and advice we need to know how to look after ourselves, especially during these rough times.

 

This fundraising is to support the OH team deliver an amazing event that can reach and help as many young adults as possible. As well as to support us in our plan to grow and support more young people. We are hoping to raise £1,200 for the cost to deliver a great event and to help us prepare to do more in the future, post event.
