Operation Save Goofy

After reaching out to several rescues to no avail, my dog trainer, sister and I pulled out a dog in very bad condition at the Carson Animal Shelter in Gardena, California. His name is Goofy (A5152002) and he was an owner surrender. He is only 2-3 years old but has had a very rough start in life :( please visit savegoofy.com for more info and videos, etc.
Goofy was beyond TERRIFIED at the shelter. We met him a couple weeks ago and everything about him screamed "please help me. I am hurting!!". We did tons of outreach but no one was willing to help him because he was so incredibly fearful and they didn't have the resources he would need. He would need some major training to help rehabilitate him.
Lucky for Goofy, my own pup's amazing Dog Trainer went to assess him and fell in love. She fostered sweet Goofy and rehabilitated him so we could find a forever home. We found him a home but unfortunately his first adopter just had to return him to us as Goofy was afraid of her husband and kept barking at him :(
We just want to give this guy the love and care he deserves!! He made it through an Upper Respiratory infection at shelter and got some Physical therapy for his achy legs and back from shelter and he’s now in amazing shape!!! BUT HE NEEDS A HOME. With 2 puppies and a senior dog on my hands I can not keep him long. PLEASE HELP. We are now looking to raise additional funds to cover expenses for a board and train facility willing to give us half off (and highly recommended by various rescues). Total cost would be $1700 for two months of boarding and training at the training facility home. Please spread the word and consider donating
Whatever we do, we do NOT want to send this poor guy back to the shelter where he got so scared and sick. But we NEED YOUR HELP to get him the care he needs. We will save and post all receipts so you know exactly where the money is going. We will of course also post updates and hopeful progress he is making as he looks for his forever loving home.
