Operation Save Bubba Luck!!

Donation protected
This sweet lil baby that we're temporarily referring to as Bubba Luck (name TBD) sought out help on Sunday night in the Bubba's 33 parking lot. She is RIDICULOUSLY emaciated, riddled with fleas, and severely dehydrated -- along with missing her right eye from an infection. After being force-fed water and bribed with cod fish on her last leg of life, she was brought home and tended to until seeing a vet the next morning.

According to the medical professionals at Shively Animal Clinic, she had 9 (yes -- NINE) ticks removed, and was somehow surviving at a 10% hematocrit level (less than 25% in cats is considered anemic -- 25-40% being normal). She also has some sort of long-standing infection that has affected her vision and caused her eye to shrink in size, and her liver and kidney enzymes are very much elevated, probably from fighting infections and dehydration.

The vets aren't entirely convinced this sweet girl will pull through, she requires AT LEAST one blood transfusion (if not multiple), broad-spectrum antibiotics to reverse any damage done from the ticks, fleas, and long-standing prior untreated infections, + a handful of overnight stays in the animal hospital under 24/7 care to ensure her livelihood.

Anyone who's owned a cat knows how reclusive they become as they grow weaker and more sickly, yet this nugget used her last bit of energy to reach out for help. She's a fighter, she really is. Please try and see it in your heart of hearts to help her see it through this and beat all of the odds stacked against her.
