It was decided months ago that we would create a rescue in the Fort Bragg area. We knew that we wanted to help the homeless cats & kittens, of course, but we decided to take it a step further and try our very best to help our community of veterans that suffer from PTSD. Our mission is to assist every veteran suffering from PTSD with the means and assistance to find the perfect little furry friend that fits their needs and those of their family. <3 <3
The funds collected from this fundraiser will be used for the specific purpose of creating the rescue. Our paperwork is already started, but it is an expensive task to file everything to become a nonprofit. We also need to preorder microchips for the pets we adopt out, have the starting funds to buy spay and neuter certificates from friendsofanimals.org (you can donate those directly if you'd like too! We won't be upset about it!), and to start working on our stock of food, litter, and the every day goods that we need to take care of cats and kittens that aren't always in the best shape.
