Operation for new shunt for Thomas Gombera

My name is Thomas Gombera. I am a paraplegic person, I had a spinal cord injury in a case of kidnapping and attempted murder in 2010. I was taken by three men they took me into the back of the truck and started beating me up whilst the truck was moving and after a distance of about 20km from where they had taken me from they threw me out of that moving truck and I landed with my back and that's when my spine got injured. I was taken to the hospital, I was badly injured I had some scans done on me and the doctors saw that my spine was compressed an operation was needed to decompress it to avoid the paralysis of the whole body. The operation was done in 2011 and it was successful. In 2017 I started losing the sensation of heat or cold from my waistline going downwards I had an MRI scan done and it showed that there was a cyst in my spine that contained fluid that was causing pressure in my spinal cord as it was growing and also my hands were to be weak if the fluid was not drained. I managed to have the operation done and a shunt was placed so as to drain those unwanted fluids in the spine. In 2020 I started having headaches I went to the doctor and she asked for an MRI scan I had it and it showed that the shunt was blocked and the fluid was building up. the doctors advised that I should have another new shunt but I couldn't raise the money for the operation. Till today I have been having severe headaches I have been going to see the doctors and they said that if I don't get the operation done in time the fluid moves up I will not be able to use my hands and if it reaches the brain I won't be able to breathe.
