Operation Build a Classroom Library
Donation protected
In past years, I have always inherited a vast and varied classroom library. However, that is not so true for my newest placement. This upcoming school year, I will be teaching Advanced Placement courses at a Mississippi County high school. At the end of the course, students are required to take a standardized test that can impact their GPA, which can impact their scholarships and awards, which could ultimately impact students' life and career choices. A great majority of this test discusses or alludes to various notable works of literature throughout history, so students need access to these materials. THIS IS IMPORTANT!! All monies raised will go directly to building a well-rounded, varied, and often frequented classroom library. Reading creates a world of opportunities. It influences cognitive processes such as vocabulary and understanding as well as imagination and perception. In the words of Dr. Seuss, "The more you read, the more you know, and the more you know, the more you'll grow". If you have books that you would like to donate, please mail them to:
