THE PURSUIT OF A DREAM CAREER
I’ve spent half my life working toward my dream profession—performing opera in Europe. My journey involves both my undergrad and graduate degrees in vocal performance, several lead roles, and, most recently, second place in the NATS Cal-Western region competition for my division. My next step takes me to the other side of the world: participating in a summer music program in Europe.
This is more than a childhood dream—it’s an important step in my career. While American opera singers must travel, many European opera houses offer long term contracts that allow for greater home stability. As a future mother, this would allow me to focus on family while also pursuing my passions and allowing my talents to thrive.
THE PROGRAM
Located in Novafeltria, Italy, this summer program would not only allow me to learn and perform a lead opera role, but would facilitate creating professional contacts that would make my transition into the European scene possible.
THE COSTS
Program tuition costs $5,952. Further donations help cover travel and living expenses.
