Open Your Heart to Conner's Open Heart Surgery

Dear Friends & Family,
As some of you know, Conner has been diagnosed with a rare congenital heart condition - an anomalous coronary artery. This journey has been a little scary for all of us as his Cardiologist had never seen this before. It also has been an additional stress for Conner and my mom with many unexpected expenses.
Conner’s Kansas City Cardiologist referred him to Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota, and if you’ve driven to Minnesota before it’s not a day trip! The trips to and from come with additional overnight stays for the visits. The first trip was in November and to be there ready to begin for testing and evaluation Conner, mom and his then girlfriend had to arrive the day before. After their long day of testing and doctors appointments, it was too late for them to drive home leading to a two night stay and food made it become an expensive 3 days.
The second trip to Mayo was scheduled for December 9th to visit with a surgeon. Keep in mind, not a day trip. Then Conner received a phone call from Mayo on Monday of this week saying a cancellation had happened and they could accommodate doctor appointment Monday and surgery on Tuesday! Scary but good for Conner! He will get his heart issue resolved and not have to wait any longer, woohoo!
With that being said, having less than a week to prepare arrangements for travel and lodging for all of us has been extremely challenging. Conner, my mom and his now wife will be driving up Sunday so he is ready for testing first thing Monday morning. However, because we didn’t have time for two plus weeks notice on airfare, (my grandparents and I will be flying up Monday night and only staying a couple of days) the cost of getting us to Minnesota in time for his surgery is incredibly high! Not to mention there are no reasonable places to stay at such late notice.
We also don’t know how many more trips he will be taking back to Mayo for follow ups! They may only be one overnight stay, but still unexpected expenses.
All this being said...I would like to ask for a little help for Conner and my family to help us cover some of these expenses.
