Travel[In]4Good, a LinkedIn employee led initiative, is partnering with https://e-ducare.org/ to continue to support our friends of the Maasai community of Lengiloriti, Tanzania.
As you and your family are going back to school, the children of Lengiloriti Primary School in Tanzania are preparing as well! Please consider to help these 500 Maasai children to continue their education.
As many of you know, our annual visit to this community in Tanzania was cancelled due to COVID this summer, but we are still hoping to complete the last 2 new teachers' houses needed with your generous support.
Through virtual fundraising over the past 5 months, generous donations has brought us closer to our goal and now have about $9,000 to go of the $27,000 that it will cost to build. With this GoFundMe campaign we hope to raise $ 5,000 to bring closer to this goal.
Currently, ±400 students attend Grades 1 - 5 at the Primary School, which opened last January. The classrooms are already built and ready for the additional students in Grades 6 and 7, which will complete the Primary School range. The government will pay for and send the teachers once they have a place to live because the school is in such a remote location.
The next school year starts in Tanzania in January, so we are hoping to start building in mid-September to make sure that these houses are completed in time for the government to assign teachers to the school.
Your support for this inititiave has had a material and long-lasting impact on the lives of these children, their families and their Maasai community as a whole!
