Online Jazz Station in Maryland

Donation protected
Almost everybody that knows me - especially via Facebook - understands that my son and I have been in Florida for a year (and then some).  This is not the first time that we've ventured here.  For the same reasons, we attempted to cross these gator-filled waters in 2015.  My motivation: so son and Dad could be together.  Two years ago, we discovered it wasn't working.  Now it's the same story - with a sad conclusion in terms of T's education.   This state is not what one would call welcoming in terms of autism spectrum students.  With finances, too.  Ma took a hit with TWO hurricanes in one year!  Florida, though it's clear that we don't belong here full-time, HAS inspired me to determine what it is that I really need to do with the rest of my life.  And that is to create a 24/7 online, Hybrid Jazz station.  My show has simply not been enough to highlight the overwhelming array of talented artists that have crossed my path.  I need a place to focus on that talent and to feature those artists every day.  Well, it turns out that a dear friend offered me her HOME in order to do this.  In Maryland.  Where there's much more living space and a room for a studio.  With guests that can actually visit.  I also have a consultant waiting for me to advise regarding audio equipment.  He has been building studios for years and is a long-time friend from WPOC days.  We've been figuring how much it will be to get a relatively simple start-up - adding in costs for streaming/licensing.  And I've been doing Math in terms of how much it would be to get T and I back to family and friends (so many that we have cried).  We've come to the conclusion that $8,000 will take care of costs.  If need be, I'll find more appropriate work "back home" than I ever did here.  The average salary of a sales job in Harford County is $60,000.  WAY more than this area could dream.  So - in all honesty - I could pay back any money donated to this cause.  I'll have the housing to do "at home" work, too.  Besides running the station.  Which I hope to have launched in early 2018.  I know that some will perceive this to be unthinkable - to ask for help in getting back to Maryland.  But artists do this all the time to get assistance for funding their musical projects.  MY goal is to help as many artists as I can via this full-time radio station.  Since 2011, DOZENS of musical guests on "Hybrid Jazz From Trish Hennessey" have thanked me for my support - and told me that - with any endeavor that I had in mind - they'd help.  Welp, y'all, here it IS!  My commitment is to JAZZ and variations therein.  The original plan was to find a mentor to create a terrestrial station that would play the music that's on my show.  Well - guess what?  Those mentors will discover how awesome new and vintage Jazz sounds ONLINE.  With commercials, by the way.  So that money can be made for ALL who take part.  If anyone likes the idea enough to transform online into terrestrial down the road, cool.  MY mission is to enable Jazz-focused musicians/singers to be heard.  In the words of a special guest this past year, Clint Holmes: "if not now, WHEN?"  We would like to be in our new home by Christmas.  My lovely landlord would like that, too.  Her empty home has been so for too long.  T has already applied to Towson State - where there is an active Asperger's Syndome/Autism Spectrum community.  Maryland IS a progressive state in a myriad of ways.  That bodes well for my son's academic and social future.  He needs his life to begin anew.  We need our VILLAGE!  And EYE need to stick Jazz in the faces and ears of those who are hungry to hear ALL of what it means - via an outlet that offers it to them, day and night.  It's a big, fat project here.  But yours truly is up for it.  I promise.  And I promise this, too.  Whatever you feel is fair in terms of how I pay you back, you let me know.  I don't want you to feel as if you are getting nothing for your donation.  If you want money paid back, say so.  I can give you music, too.  Yo - I'm gonna have to get a recreational vehicle for all of the hard copy CDS I've been sent since last year!  So, there's extra copies for you if you would like :)  If you want a chance to visit Maryland, I would LOVE that!  Visit the station when it's up and running and do the show with me when I go live!  We'll be depending on help with furniture and bed frames and gosh knows what else when we get there - so there will be a chance to meet, hopefully, all those who donate.  And both T and me would absolutely love the opportunity to monetarily support ALL of the artists who contribute to our fund.  We will have the chance, finally, to take the drives to our favorite venues and support.   And - when possible - fly to see Beloveds in other states.  This is the right thing to do.  And the TIME is right.  If you feel so inclined, please help.  And thank you from the bottom of my heart.  T's heart, too.  A new chance for HIM, along with a new chance for Jazz to thrive, means everything.
