One Big Family West Coast Tour Expenses 2022

What is OBF?

One Big Family began as a West Coast tour of indie-Christian artists in May of 2019. It has since developed into a hub where Christian artists worldwide can connect and collaborate. Our heart is to bring unity and connection to these artists by organizing various collaborative-focused projects and events.

One of our most significant yearly events we organize is a tour in which we gather multiple Christian artists to travel around as a group and share their music. We call it the One Big Family Tour.

We like to include more developed artists with a larger audience as well as artists who are just getting started. The purpose of these events is two-fold 1) to highlight and celebrate the uniqueness in worship expression from many different voices and 2) to put on display the beauty and power of artists working in community and standing beside one another to celebrate eachothers gifting and song to the Lord.

These concerts are Christ-centered and accessible to Christians and non-Christians alike. We love seeing people from all walks of life come out to our One Big Family nights to hear great music and whitness the power of the testimony of the Lord through each artists set.

So why do we have a gofundme?

Being a grass-roots movement, we don't have major record-companies or touring agencies financially supporting our endeavors. We are ok with that! It just means we need the body of Christ to step in and help us as we pursue this mission of uniting Christian artists and binging their music to people around the world.

Our current expenses for this 9 date West Coast tour are roughly $15,000. That number covers everything from flights for artists, gas expenses, trailer rental, event insurance, advertising/marketing, artists lodging, artist pay, etc.

We are able to cover most of those expenses in estimated nightly attendance and ticket income. The extra $3,000 that OBF is looking to raise gives us the ability to keep ticket prices low while providing a buffer to remain in a safe place and not end up in the hole by the last show.
