Have you ever wondered what one seat in a classroom equals?
At Divine Wisdom International School in Ghana, one seat equals success for its students. For its students, many of whom attend the school on scholarship, one seat equals a safer learning environment. For its current 8th graders, one seat equals the opportunity to not only pass their required exams, but promises them a future in high school. At Wisdom Academy, one seat equals a place to learn.
Every year, the school uses 30% of their budget to replace their broken down chairs and desks. And every year, the desks and chairs wilt under the constant demand of the students. At only $40, Wisdom Academy can pay for a more durable chair and desk that will last for over a decade. At $1,000, Wisdom Academy can fill one classroom with enough desks and chairs. Together, we can accommodate one full grade level in their studies and success.
Commonly referred to as Operation Wisdom, the Ghana Wisdom Foundation is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with a mission to develop globally conscientious students through international community building and strategic service-learning.
Operation Wisdom has partnered with the Divine Wisdom International School for over a decade. Our students have not only learned about the school, but visited it in person and met the students and teachers. We can guarantee that 100% of the donations we receive will go directly to purchasing the seats and desks that they currently need.
