Amalgam -One of the last Dance Studios of Beirut

Donation protected
Amalgam is an dance studio with the mission to promote performing arts by supporting emerging artists and providing a space in the heart of Beirut where artists can exchange, collaborate, practice and conduct research, as well as train and teach techniques and skills through dedicated classes.

Lebanon is undergoing a multi-faceted and unprecedented crisis at various interconnected and mutually reinforcing levels. The economic crisis, and the COVID19 outbreak already threatened to close down the studio, but fortunately, a fund received in joint with Maqamat from AFAC, the Arab Fund for Culture and MAWRED, Culture Resource, will allow the space to function for one more year at least, giving the possibility to performing artists to train in the studio for free.

The Beirut blast of the 4th of August damaged the studio, and this campaign aims to raise funds to bring it back on its feet.
