Dear friends,
It is with a heavy heart I report that Ollie Dog the Bear has a condition which is challenging her ability to walk and enjoy life, and she needs your help.
A year ago, Ollie tore her ACL. Over the past six months, Ollie has been losing control of her back legs, causing her to fall with increasing frequency. Everyday activities, like playing with a rope or cuddling on the couch, are getting more difficult for her.
Since Ollie tore her ACL, our family has exhausted our available funds at the vet, who recently informed us that Ollie's new symptoms likely indicate a degenerative neurological condition with little hope for recovery. At this point, he has quoted us for diagnostics and palliative care options as the condition runs its course. While we are hopeful the treatment will sustain her ability to walk and play for a while, with the condition's trajectory, this looks like Ollie’s Farewell Tour.
Our goal is to provide Ollie with the quality of life she deserves as she enters her sunset years after a lifetime of loving and licking, and hopefully – if treatment is effective – keep her tail wagging a while longer.
Phase I - First month - $1000
-Diagnostic services
-Aggressive treatment to reduce arthritis, inflammation, and pain
Phase II - Ongoing* - $850
-Maintenance treatment and care (*8 mos. worth, sold as unit)
-Compassionate end-of-life preparations
