Olivier Emergency Back Surgery Fund


Olivier is a 1-year 10-month-old French Bulldog that came into my life moments after I awoke from an emergency procedure of my own. He was 6 weeks then and for the past year and a half has saved my life time and again.  Unfortunately, now it is my turn to save him.

Yesterday afternoon he lost all motor functions in his hind legs and quickly after was completely paralyzed from the waist down. After rushing him to the emergency room I was informed that a disk in his lower back bad ruptured and is causing nerve damage and loss of blood and oxygen to his hind legs. The neurosurgeon informed me that this was an extremely time sensitive condition and if not treated very soon he will be completely paralyzed with no hope of any form of recovery.  The total cost of the surgery is around $10,000 not including the physical therapy that will be required for 6-8 months after. With such short notice, I am unfortunately not in the position to spend that kind of money and with student loans I will not qualify for a loan. 


Olivier is one of the best dogs I've ever met. Everywhere he goes everyone automatically lights up with smiles. His signature jump up would be missed by so many people, although even with the surgery he won't be doing much jumping. Olivier has a special friend that he sees once to twice a day walking in his neighborhood. She is an elderly woman who everyday looks out her window and waves to him, and sometimes makes it out of the house to pet him. Just that small moment of joy he brings to one person is simply amazing, not including the countless others. He is a special special dog and he needs our help.

He is my best friend and means the world to me. He has gotten me through a lot of hard times and I can't imagine the world without him in it. He has given me so much joy and happiness.
