Thanks to the kindness and support of the Twitter community, we have found a loving forever home for Oliver, our beloved rescue dog. We are overjoyed that he will be going to a safe and happy place where he will be the only dog and receive all the love and attention he deserves.

However, the new home is located in a different state, and we need to rent a car to make the 10-hour drive to get him there. This unexpected expense is beyond our means, and we're turning to you for help.

Oliver is a 4-year-old rescue dog who spent the first year of his life tied up in a yard. He found me when I was walking my dogs Otis and Hannah and decided to come home with us. We decided to take him in as a foster but had a hard time finding a home for him. Over time, he became an integral part of our family so when we moved from LA to Austin, Oliver moved with us.

We love Oliver more than anything, but we have come to accept that we have to find him a new home. During quarantine, he developed a fear of our other dog Otis, a 75-pound rescue. For the past year, we've been keeping Otis and Oliver separated at all times, moving them between rooms so they don't see each other. It's been necessary and helpful for Oliver's fear, but it creates an atmosphere of constant stress that isn't good for either of them.

Luckily, Twitter helped us find the right home for Oliver where he can be the only dog in the house, with all the love he wants and the safety and security he needs. You can see the thread for yourself here - now we just need to get him home safely!

Oliver deserves a chance to live his best life, and we need your help to make that happen. Your contribution will go towards renting a car, gas, and other travel expenses to ensure a safe and comfortable journey for Oliver.
