Dear guys,
Throughout my life I have seen different cancer campaigns and have never thought that one day I will be launching one myself.
I would like to introduce you to my father, my best friend and my life example. Living his life with passion and joy my father has always been the ambassador of smiles, happiness and humor, passing it on to everybody around him. It is very difficult to see the happiest guy without a smile on his face, even though he still does his best in keeping positive attitude.
2 months ago my father, who is only 52, was diagnosed with Plasma Cell cancer which is a very complex and rare disease.
Unfortunately, this disease is not treated in Moldova and in order to have a chance to fight it we had to go for the treatment abroad.
Back in Moldova, doctors were struggling to exactly say what kind of disease does my dad have, so to double-check we have decided to go to a hospital in Istanbul specialized on Oncology, which has all the required tools for a proper cancer diagnostics. After the diagnostics, doctors concluded that my father has Plasma Cell cancer and got prescribed 3 courses of chemotherapy. 3 courses of chemotherapy helped a lot and pushed the disease back, giving us hope that everything can be fine.
This week we did another round of diagnostics and doctors told us that Bone marrow transplant from a donor is the only chance that my father has in fighting the disease, and that we need to do it as quick as possible because average life expectancy with this disease is less than a year if you don’t undergo the transplantation.
As a citizen of Moldova my father only has local insurance which does not cover any costs abroad, so we are literally paying for everything ourselves (i.e. doctor visits, tests, diagnostics, medicine, etc.). As the disease is very complex, all the required analysis/diagnostics and medicine are also very expensive. We have already spent all my and my parents’ savings and therefore have made a difficult decision to ask for help from all our friends and family.
Bone marrow transplant with another 2 rounds of very heavy chemotherapy would cost us another 150,000 Euro. We don’t expect to get all the money required, but any support in these difficult times would help us a lot.

Я хотел бы познакомить вас с моим папой, моим лучшим другом и примером. Он всегда шел по жизни с хорошим настроением, юмором и улыбкой на лице, даря позитив и доброту всем окружающим. Очень трудно видеть этого счастливого и улыбчивого человека поникшим, хотя он делает все возможное чтобы сохранять позитивный настрой.
2 месяца назад моему отцу, которому всего 52 года, был поставлен диагноз Рак плазменной клетки, который является очень сложным и редким заболеванием.
К сожалению, эта болезнь не лечится в Молдове, и для того, чтобы иметь возможность бороться с ней, нам пришлось лечиться за границей.
В Молдове врачи затруднялись поставить точный диагноз. Чтобы удостовериться, мы решили отправиться в клинику в Стамбуле, где есть все необходимое оборудование для доскональной диагностики рака. После диагностики врачи пришли к выводу, что у моего отца Рак плазменной клетки и назначили 3 курса химиотерапии. 3 курса химиотерапии очень помогли, дав нам надежду что все может быть хорошо.
На этой неделе мы прошли еще одну полную диагностику. Врачи сказали, что трансплантация костного мозга от донора — это единственный шанс, который у нас есть в борьбе с этим заболеванием, и что операцию нужно сделать как можно быстрее т.к. средняя продолжительность жизни с этой болезнью является менее года если не делать трансплантацию.
Как у гражданина Молдовы у нас есть только местная страховка, которая не покрывает никаких затрат за границей. Поэтому нам приходится платить самим, буквально за все. Поскольку болезнь очень сложная, все необходимые анализы, диагностика и лекарства очень дорогие. Мы уже потратили все наши сбережения, и в связи с этим мы приняли трудное решение обратиться за помощью к нашим друзьям и родственникам.
Трансплантация костного мозга с двумя процедурами очень тяжелой химиотерапии будет нам стоить еще 150 000 евро. Мы не надеемся получить все необходимые средства, но любая помощь в эти трудные времена очень сильно нам поможет.
