Old Marine Fights Leukemia

Chris is a self described "old" Marine. Classic Marine. No better friend. A little over a year ago, Chris was diagnosed with a form of leukemia that he has been told he will live with for the rest of his life. This set off a roller-coaster course of finding a treatment regimend that his body will respond positively to. Chris has now found himself admitted to the VA hospital in Iowa City 3 times in the last six weeks, and this is not to mention the countless preceeding trips. Currently Chris is admitted to the VA hospital where 2 liters of fluid have been removed from his lung. For the past 3 weeks even short walks have been like a marathon for Chris. Yet he has held his post, and held his ground.

Never complains.

Never self-loathes.

Grins and bares, continues to grind.

When the world is in crisis... It doesn't ask for help, the Marines just show up and help.

Chris didn't ask for help, but it's our turn to just show up and help.
