Help Krissy/#prayers

On February 2nd, Krissy Harmon, a vibrant 35 year old mother to an awesome special needs child, was diagnosed with a rare form of vasculitis called Takayasu's Arteritis which caused her carotid arteries to become inflamed and clot off, ultimately causing a stroke.  They did a bypass on one side to get the blood flowing.  The other side was beyond repair surgically but is being fed by smaller vessels.  In the past month, Krissy has been under the care of several specialists who decided to send her to The Mayo Clinic where they treat 'very rare' conditions.  Thankfully, The Mayo thinks they've found an immunosuppressant therapy for this condition.  It, too, is not without risk but it's what they have to offer until the arteritis can be beat back and ultimately sent into remission.

It turns out, rare conditions are expensive.

Due to the stroke, subsequent surgery and trip to the Mayo Clinic in Florida, Krissy has been out of work for over a month.  She has insurance but the copays are outrageous and piling up fast.  Not to mention the everyday bills that her paycheck would go towards.  See, Krissy is a part time teacher so she doesn't get paid leave from work.
Krissy's fight doesn't only impact her, it impacts those who love her most and ultimately her 5 year old son, Jayce.  It is not only for her that we set up this page; Jayce has very specific needs that need to be met as well.  Krissy is his primary caregiver and now she needs help.
We ask that anyone who feels led and finacially able, to donate what they can, even offer a word of prayer and emotional support through words of encouragement.  Thank you!
