OG'S Men's Fashion is owned and operated by our family, Apostle Terrance T. Joshua, President and CEO, with his wife, Dolly Joshua and daughter, Ashley Joshua as Vice President. Terrance T. Joshua is a retired veteran from U.S. Air Force Security Forces and recently retired from the Hale Koa Hotel government service. Ashley Joshua is a recent University of Hawaii at West Oahu graduate with her B.A. in business management and currently works for a production company based in Honolulu as an Office Administrator. With our skills in management and production we'll be able to diversify ourselves from the rest.
OG'S Men's Fashion is a company aimed to not only bring brands and designs not found in Hawaii, but also give back to the community through outreach programs. We currently will be selling clothes to men, but will expand into women, young adults and children’s clothing as well through Ashley's brand Classically Chic. We will have the opportunity to address every cultural background on Oahu, outer islands and international. OG’S will be known for being accountable to customers and their needs. OG’S will carry a reasonable range of clothing sizes and widths to please all of our customers. OG’S will sell clothing at 50% or more of competitor’s retail prices. This price difference applies to all clothing. What’s unique about this store is that you can have it all in one. From finding the perfect outfit to a haircut, fitting for weddings, tailoring and fellowship.
Prior to COVID we have been working hard to get our business up and operating. We tried to open brick and mortar once before, but due to the high rent in the mall we could not afford to furnish the store and purchase product. We have reached out to various programs only to be turned down every single time. We've exhausted all avenues and ventures to not only start the business, but to support our daily lives. COVID has hurt many businesses and start-ups from reaching success, but with a bit of help from the community we'll all succeed.
Our Story
The idea to start a clothing store is a calling from my God and Creator. When this store opens for business it will be passed around through churches here in Hawaii and abroad drawing attention to the store and its mission from God. As Apostle, Terrance T. Joshua is licensed to perform marriages and can offer to clothes the entire wedding party.
Terrance T. Joshua's love for clothing came to be when he bought his first suit in the year 1982- before graduating from high school, not knowing that this would begin as a lifelong love of fine clothing. He has spent countless dollars over the following 25 years to acquire good clothing, shoes and hats. His love for clothing has branched into designing along side his daughter with the intent to offer quality, name brand formal and informal men’s wear in an assortment of sizes and styles to accommodate all varying body styles and shapes.
The Future
Our goal right now is to open a brick and mortar space and get a handle on our family finances. Once our goal of $50,000 is reached we plan to put down payment of $2,000 for the first month rent on a brick and mortar space. This space will allow the entire family to operate in all our gifts with the intent to share our love for people and fashion. We will use $10,000 to pay down debt acquired during the pandemic in order to sign lease. We will use $10,000 to purchase our initial products for opening and $5,000 to advertising online, television and radio. We will set aside $10,000 for our outreach program that will teach under served communities to become entrepreneurs, leaders, owners and teach personal skills. Also, to assist veterans with disabilities whether it be spiritually, physically, mentally, or financially. The remaining $13,000 will be used to keep purchasing product and keep up with rent until business takes off. We are not looking for a hand out, but hand up.
