Off-Road wheelchair for Josh

On 23rd September 2018 I will be running the Great Bristol Half Marathon, to raise funds towards an off-road wheelchair for an amazing 9 year old boy.....Josh.

In 2011 Josh was diagnosed with Duchenne, the most severe form of Muscular Dystrophy. Duchenne is a muscle wasting condition which affects approximately 2,500 people in the UK today. This disorder leads to weakness and loss of walking ability during childhood and teenage years.

Suppported by an immensely positive and proactive family, Josh is given every opportunity to enjoy the best possible quality of life, but the physical challenges that come with living with Duchenne are making it increasingly hard.

Like most 9 years olds,  Josh loves being outdoors, going to  parks, woodlands....but these are not easily accessible places for him as he does not have a wheelchair that can go on uneven terrain.

So - PLEASE support me to raise funds towards the fantastic ‘MT Push’ .....a piece of equipment that will enable Josh to continue experiencing life outdoors with his 7 year old sister, family and friends. As you can see from the photo, he recently tried one out and loved it.
