Support for Dan and Raquel Haralambou

Donation protected
Dear Friends and Family, this is the official fundraiser for Daniel and Raquel Haralambou.

Most of you have heard by now that Dan and Raquel Haralambou were in a head on collision with a drunk driver the night after Christmas. This collision was just outside of St. Augustine Florida after they had enjoyed the Nights of Lights and were heading home with Maleigha, Raquel's brother Jimmy, and his new wife Brittany. I regret to say that Jimmy did not survive the accident and Brittany suffered three broken bones and other trauma from the accident. Further, Raquel, who was 7 months pregnant with twin girls, was also badly hurt and the twins did not survive the accident.

Raquel was taken from the scene to Memorial Trauma Center in Jacksonville, FL where they quickly checked for heart beats from the twins and found none. They immediately jumped into action to save her life, and over the next 24 hours she underwent 6 life saving surgeries to stop the bleeding in her lower abdomen caused by her seatbelt in the head on collision.

Raquel currently has two broken ribs and possible breaks in one of her hands, feet and nose. Her Kidneys and other organs also absorbed blunt trauma and they are fighting to save everything they can in order for Raquel to one day be whole. Obviously, the fight right now is for her life and she remains in critical condition.

If you know Raquel, you know that she is a fighter. She is strong.
Above everything else, we ask you for your love and prayers.

If you feel led to give financially, here is what I ask...
We are attempting to raise $100,000 for Dan and Raquel to cover them as they attempt to piece back together the broken pieces.

There is only so much that insurance will payout, and that may even take some time. There are funerals, medical bills and counseling that insurance won't cover. On top of that, it may be a year before Dan can work again and for Raquel much longer. They still have living expenses and bills that will come every month, and if we, as friends and family can help bless them and bridge that gap I know they will be forever grateful.

Nothing will ever bring the twins or Jimmy back...
Nothing may ever remove the memories and pain...
But we can be there for them. We can love them in this way.

If you know them, I ask that you reach out to them personally and let them know that you love them and are praying for them. If you do not, you may still do the same and continue to keep them in your thoughts and prayers. It will take a very large support group to help them heal from such an unjust and tragic accident, and if we can relieve even one fear or worry about the future we should do so with joy.
