Cancer strikes again. Officer Cuney, a 17 year veteran of the Brighton Police Department was recently diagnosed with breast cancer. She will have to have a double mastectomy and chemotherapy treatments.
This hits too close to home for me, as my husband (Sergeant Waters of the Brighton Police Department), just finished his cancer treatments. Then we got the news that our friend and colleague was getting ready to go down the same road we just did.
Officer Anna Marie Cuney is a single mom of a 12 year old daughter. She works hard every single day to provide for her. She also serves and protects the citizens of her city every time she puts on her uniform.
Officer Cuney will no doubt have to face some serious medical bills due to her surgery and chemotherapy.
Sergeant Waters and I have been down this road and many many people came to our rescue. Let’s do the same for Officer Cuney!! Anything helps!!
