Odie's Entropion Surgery

Good news at the bottom!!
This is Odie. He is a 10 month old puppy and such a sweet, gentle boy whom I adopted from a family who decided to give him up. The day I adopted him I noticed something was wrong with his eyes. He can barely open them to see and they are constantly watering. I took him to the veterinarian as soon as I could only to be given some terrible news. Odie was diagnosed with severe entropion in both eyes. Entropion is a medical condition he was born with where his eyelids roll inward. He is in constant pain and has large risks of corneal scarring and eye ulcers.
The family that gave him to me never tried to fix the problem, and didn’t tell me there was an expensive surgery coming my way. Odie has pet insurance but since he was previously diagnosed, the insurance will not cover pre-existing conditions. The surgery is too expensive for me, a college student, but I am not willing to let him live in pain. I was given an estimate that the surgery will be anywhere from $2700-$3500. I would appreciate anything you are able to give to help Odie get his surgery.
I am also painfully willing to give him to a family who is able to afford his medical care and give him these things that I am not able to.

A beautiful soul who is involved in rescue groups reached out to me to tell me about a veterinarian who has done these surgeries for other rescue pups. I contacted Dr. Mike at Alpine Animal Hospital and he is willing to help Odie for much less than I was quoted by multiple specialists! He is a fantastic veterinarian and Odie will be able to receive help much more quickly thanks to him and your donations!
