Hurricane Dorian Ocracoke Oyster Company

I am Shawn Turner from Middletown, Md.  My brother George and his wife Janille are owners of the Ocracoke Oyster Company on Ocracoke Island, North Carolina known as a Local & Vistors Favorite. They are known for serving the Freshest Local Seafood was devastated by Hurricane Dorian on September 6th 2019. Suffering from almost 3 feet of water in the restaurant, all equipment was a lost as well as dining room furniture. In the last 10 months the owners have  not only suffered from the massive hurricane Dorian but 3 days before Christmas their house and all their belongings were lost due to a fire. Now the hurricane has put them in dire straights. George & Janille have been working hard every day since the storm with family, friends and co-workers to get this landmark restaurant up and going again. George & Janille are very active in the community supporting and fundraising for the local churches, medical center and Islanders in need and never expect anything in return. Their kindness to everyone around them is why I started the Go Fund Me page. I don't know anyone that deserves help more than this business right now they have really been through so much and they keep just smiling and pushing through. The money raised will go towards equipment and furniture.  Any money not needed will be donated to another victim of Dorian. Thank you for your consideration.   #OCRACOKESTRONG
