OCD Treatment for Steve Hodge

Steve suffers from a severe condition of Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).  You may have seen Steve perform his intense hand washing rituals or other behavior and thought that Steve is just a quirky guy.  OCD is not about hand washing and quirkiness.  Steve suffers almost continuously from unwanted, disturbing thoughts and images that bring intense fear,  anxiety, and discomfort to nearly every aspect of his life.  His OCD has also manifested itself in other forms including scrupulosity and hoarding.  The handwashing and other rituals are simply methods that many who suffer from OCD use to momentarily alleviate their mental anguish.  Steve has been dealing with OCD  for over 30 years now and has never received the treatment needed to help him deal with this disorder.  He has expressed that it's currently worse than he's ever experienced it and often feels like he's barely keeping his head above water. 

OCD has hijacked Steve's life and kept him from living a more fulfilling life and using his exceptional gifts and talents.  Anyone that knows Steve knows of his great witty humor and ability to fill a room with laughter.  He's highly intelligent, sincere, kind-hearted, and a genuinely great individual.  So many people love Steve and want to see him get help.  With this treatment and future planned assistance, Steve will gain the tools needed to get his life back on track.

Steve has been scheduled to enter into treatment on July 1st, 2019.  The intensive treatment is expected to last for 2-3 months and consists of daily appointments to treat Steve with the most results-based treatment available.  Here is a link to the facility that Steve will be getting treatment from:

Because of the intense nature and duration of the treatment, we hope to make his financial burden lighter.  Donations will be used to pay for the treatment and lodging while in Utah.  We hope to share with you some of Steve's journey as he gets the much-needed help.  Steve's condition prevents him from things like having a cell phone or maintaining steady employment, so I've offered to help spearhead this GoFundMe fundraiser. He's showing great courage in taking this needed step and I hope we can all get behind him and give him the support he needs.
