Stephanie's Kick Cancer fund

 Thank you for taking the time to look at my page today. I am a 32-year old woman who loves travel, volunteering, and spending time with family and friends. I spend much of my free time volunteering for organizations that benefit youth, like CHILD, Inc and Girl Scouts of America. It is important to me to give to others less fortunate than myself and always pay it forward. This summer, I became an auntie for the first time. My nephew and godson Alex has brought me and my family so much joy.  In October 2014, I was diagnosed with synovial sarcoma. This rare type of soft-tissue sarcoma cancer is diagnosed in only 1 in a million people each year. My journey began with the discovery of a large growth in my right leg, that was painless but grew rapidly in size. At the time of my diagnosis, the tumor had grown to 8 inches. Soon after finishing my fourth round of chemo, it was discovered that I also have thyroid cancer. In early March, I am undergoing surgery to remove the sarcoma tumor from my leg. Once I have healed enough from that surgery, I will have my thyroid removed and begin radiation on my leg. 
At this point, I have been out of work for four months, and the doctors anticipate another few months will pass before I may be able to return to work. 
This experience has had a significant impact on my life. The love, support, and faith of family and friends has helped me pull through these difficult times.
