Set in the North Hampshire countryside, Oakley CC has a proud history as a local village club now featuring three Saturday teams, a Sunday friendly team and a thriving colts set up from under 9’s right through to under 15’s. As a village club we are reaching out to our local community to help improve our clubhouse and to create facilities that will be fit for purpose.
Due to on-field success in recent years the club has quickly outgrown itself and therefore we find ourselves in a position where we need to upgrade the facilities, most of all our ageing clubhouse. Last year our first team secured promotion to County Division 2 which means there are new league regulations we need to adhere to which include a refurbishment of the current changing room, toilet and shower areas. Also due to the fact our colts section now consists of approx 80 boys and girls in various age groups and 50 full adult members our current clubhouse space needs upgrading to be able to cope with these growing numbers.
All of the above had been made harder as we also need to upgrade the security at the club as we have been victim of 3 break ins in the last 2 years. For a volunteer run community village cricket club like ours these break ins have been a big setback as a lot of volunteers hard work was undone.
