Connor’s Diabetic Service Dog
Donation protected
My son Connor was diagnosed type one diabetic in February of 2014 at 2 years old. For the last year since then we have been trying different ways to monitor his blood sugar levels. We have found that we cannot use a CGM (Continuous Glucose Monitor) because he is allergic to the adhesive on the monitor that caused a rash on his back that itched and bled. We have been advised by multiple doctors that our best course of action would be to get a Diabetic Alert Service dog. Unfortunately the cost of a Specialized service dog like this is very expensive and being a military family it is a financial hardship that we cannot afford on our own.
