Drum corps is a marching band-like activity. The level of sophistication and skill is much, much higher than high school marching band. If you compare basketball and marching band, then the NBA is like drum corps. I'm marching with Pacific Crest, Southern California’s World Class drum and bugle corps. From June to August, we'll be traveling across the country to perform in front of thousands of people.
Tuition for PC is about $2,900. The fee covers bus transportation, lodging and meals during tour, my guard costume and equipment (flag poles/silks), and instruction by some of the best guard coaches in the drum corps world.
Drum corps is an amazing, once in a lifetime experience. I've been wanting to do this since I joined color guard three years ago, and I'm probably only going to be able to experience this once due to cost and college. This is my only chance; once I turn 21, I won't be able to march anymore.
