McKenzie's Spinal Surgery Fund
Donation protected
This was McKenzie's back about 4 weeks ago. The growing rod inside her back is doing no good. Her thoracic and lumbar cure is progressing at a dangerous rate and could start to affect her heart and lungs. Spinal fusion is our answer and it has to been done now. The surgery will be very, very complicated with a difficult healing process.
Sweet McKenzie developed an aggressive muscle cancer when she was only 3 months old. She had major surgery as an infant and then she began 52 weeks of chemo. We travelled to Boton Mass for 6 weeks for proton beam radiation. She also had lung surgery and a few years ago she had her first back surgery to insert a growing rod which has been ineffective in controlling her curve. The time has come to put the permanent rods. We are praying that they can get the rods in and that she has minimal complications.
