Isy's Journey with Chiari Surgery

We have started this gofundme page to help Isabelle Evans and her family. Isabelle is an amazing 13 year old who is facing many challenges and a major (brain) surgery at this point in her life.
Isabelle was recently diagnosed with severe scoliosis which snowballed into many health issues. The scoliosis led to a diagnosis of Chiari Malformation, a large syrinx (cyst) running from her neck to her back and a possible tumor on her lower spine. All of which attributed to the severe scoliosis.
Isabelle is having an immediate brain surgery on March 10, 2015 to address the Chiari Malformation and hopefully relieve/drain some of the cyst on her spine. Also, this will hopefully let the doctors ascertain if she indeed does have a tumor on her lumbar spine or if it is a pocket of fluid from the large cyst. Needless to say this is a very scary time for Isabelle and her family. Unfortunately, it is going to be a very expensive time as well. The first hurdle will be meeting the family's insurance out of pocket maximum which is quite large at $20,000 for the year, which is where we have set our goal. Isabelle's brain surgery will likely meet this immediately leaving her parents with an instant $20,000 bill, not to mention time off work for her dad. There is also the possibiltiy of another surgery if the cyst does not drain from the Chiari surgery. Then once healed from surgery, she will need to start the expensive bracing for her scoliosis. Eventually once she stops growing she will also need surgery for rod placement to repair the scoliosis.
Isabelle's family is not a stranger to large medical bills as they joyfully welcomed her little sister last July, which included a stay in the NICU and C section for mom. Dad also had two knee surgeries last year and this year is shaping up to be even more costly. Any assitance donated is whole heartedly appreciated and will help to go towards the large out of pocket maximum and any cost of care Isabelle incurs.
