broke my leg and dont wanna be homeless
Donation protected
So I broke my leg when I hit a pothole on my bike. I work as a chef and will be off my feet for six to eight weeks. Because this didn't happen at work I am on my own. I cannot work in my condition. I have been gainfully employed for the last four years without any gaps. I live in Oakland California and my rent for my studio apartment is $1,200 a month. I have not accrued any pto at my current job. So without any help I will not be able to pay my rent. I will lose my apartment and all of my possessions. I work very hard for not a lot of money. When you decide to work as a chef you essentially take a vow of poverty. After rent I do not really ever have much money left for day to day so I have no savings. I am not a bum and I work very hard. Your decision to help me could be the difference between me ending up on the streets or staying in my home. My job has been very kind, they will have my position available as soon as I am well enough to work. So if you can find it in your heart to donate anything it could save my life.
