Help with Fibrous Dysplasia

Hello, let me start off by saying my wife's name is Darlene. She has been my wife for 32 years and has been my closest friend. We are a very tight knit family with two wonderful kids and their families, with a beautiful granddaughter. Her love for her family is very profound. She is a loving person who would help anybody in need and will go out of her way to help with anything, wether inside painting or picking up a hammer & saw. Darlene is very outdoorsy and we spend a lot of time hunting mushrooms or just going camping.
Darlene has acquired a rare, incureable disease called Fibrous Dysplasia. This disease infiltrates the bone and creates a fibrous tumor that will never go away, and constantly grows. Her main tumor is located behind her right ear, and is slowly growing around her ear canal causing immense pain and vertigo.
We've gone to many doctors and were turned down by few because it was beyond their expertise. Our only option was to go as far as we could go and went to the wonderful Mayo Clinic in Minnesota.
Darlene's doctor has helped greatly, trying everything short of an operation. She has had two infusions of Reclast to help with the pain and hopefully slow down the tumor. They don't like to give 3 infusions. Well, unfortunately, the tumor is starting to grow down and around the bottom of her head, pinching nerves, making her right side of her face extremely painful. We are now going to need the operation to hopefully take some of the tumor out to relieve pressure and slow the growth down a little.
She does have a small tumor on her lower right jaw. We have no idea what our future may hold with future trips. Our trip from Wyoming to Minnesota, usually for at least a week at a time, costs around $1,000.00. Darlene is unable to fly because of the vertigo and the small pressure changes. We,ve gone to Minnesota twice in 3 months and are due to go down again in April.
We do have insurance that takes the bulk away, but with future trips on slate and Darlene not able to work a constant schedule make things pretty tight.
