Update: Thank you so much to everyone who has donated thus far. You have all been incredible and the support that has been shown to our team has been truly outstanding. At this point, we would love to drive down the out of pocket cost that the players are putting forth. Again, thank you so very much.
The University of Hartford Men's Rugby Club has already faced adversity early in its Spring 2015 season.
One of the harshest Winters in recent memory has left our rugby pitch unplayable. Our school has given us little opprotunity to practice as a team. We have been relegated to our intramural basketball gym. Because of this situation, we have been holding organized team workouts 1-3 times a week because of lack of facilities.
With our first Connecticut Cup match looming, and Spring Break only a week away, we potentially have a once in a collegiate rugby career opprotunity; to go down south to play in one of the greatest tournaments around.
We have fundraised and chipped in our own money, but we are still short of achieving our monetary goal. Even the smallest donation will help us get a step closer to Georgia. Please help our team get to the St. Patricks Day Tournament hosted by the Savannah Shamrocks. It would be a great boost to our team and the opprotunity of a life time.
