We are trying to pull off one more breeding show in New York. We managed it last year with your help, and we need your help again. Because there are always so few horses an event like this can only happen when the community pulls together.
Hi, we are thee Northeast Icelandic club members organizing the 2019 Northeast breeding show at Cobbleskill Fairgrounds, in Cobbleskill NY on September 1&2. And we need your help!
Breeding shows are extremely costly: The event adds up to $9,200 by the time we paid for judges, facility, airfare, accommodations and more. The cost per horse would be huge and prohibits most owners from participating. This show will only have around a dozen horses presented.
Breeding shows have become rare in the United States and breeders have not had the opportunity to present their horses. This is unfortunate for the future of the US bred Icelandic horse and also affects the blup scores of our horses in WorldFengur. These events are instrumental for all Icelandic horse breeding around the world.
Please help us to fund this important event. Your support is not only needed but greatly appreciated. We are looking to raise $4,500 by August 31st to offset the cost. Every amount will help. A great BIG thank you to all and we hope to see you all at the event.
