Going into my sophomore year I went to Guatemala where I saw God work in explainable and miraculous ways. We were given the opportunity work with orphan kids and it touched my heart so much to see these kids that almost have nothing be so happy. I knew that me going to Guatemala was completely God's plan because a month I wasn't planning on going and the thought never crossed my mind God opened a door and I stepped through. While on this trip, a lady in charge of an orphanage came up to me and she prayed in Spanish. Although I didn't exactly know what she was saying, those words spoken to me were so powerful that they moved me to tears. After that, our translator came up to me and he said that God has a plan for me that I'm going to go into the world and spread His name. Throughout that trip, I began to hear that I needed to change high schools and that God's plan for me starts there.

Now I’m in my third year at Grandville High School and I have loved every minute of it. I have never been able to see God work so much in my life. I have learned that there are so many things in our public schools that deceive so many kids. The devil is really out to kill, steal, and destroy and he attacks so many high schoolers with lies and deception. I’m so lucky that I have found some of the best friends that anyone could have. They have helped me build myself up. They made me stronger, had my back, and helped me find who I really am. Along with all that, they helped me get connected into a Christian Organization working in the high school called Young Life. My leaders were amazing, they taught me to be myself and how to grow in christ everyday.

As all that is coming to a close, I had to figure out where I would go after high school. Of course God had a plan that I didn't want to believe, not even acknowledge. Now that plan has seem to be so clear to me that there is no way I can't follow that path. God has changed my heart to no longer seek the athlete’s dream of playing college soccer but to instead seek him in the craziest adventure I could ever imagine.

God has spoken to me that I need to roam, to go out into the world and spread Gods name. At the time I had no idea what that exactly meant but now it's so clear. Next year I will be roaming and going to YWAM in Australia. YWAM or Youth With A Mission is a global movement of dedicated Christians that want to know God and to make God known. I'm going to their Discipleship Training School (DTS)  where I will go through a lecture phase for three months and an outreach phase for another two months. In the lecture phase we will be diving into the Bible and applying it to our own lives. In the outreach phase, we will be given a chance to go out and work with the people and lead others to know God so much more.

God has given me this amazing opportunity, and I wanted to open this up for anyone who wants to help reach out a hand to be able to. I'm going to need prayers because I think God has big plans for me while I am there and every prayer could save a life. Also I'm going to need financial support and this is totally open to whatever you feel God is laying on your heart whether if it's to give or to just pray daily it's going to be appreciated.
