Help send my students to New York!

CAMPAIGN: This June I will be taking 21 of our amazing Early College High School students to New York for an educational visit. Many of my students have never been out of the state of North Carolina before. We will be visiting museums, historic neighborhoods, and learning about history at Ellis Island and in Harlem. The students, the vast majority of whom come from low income homes, have been working hard and saving for this trip for the past year. Unfortunately, due to some very late cancellations, the price for each traveler has gone up $80. This is a real hardship for our students and my fear is that more will be forced to cancel if they have to bear this cost. Our students are truly special. They forgo the traditional high school experience of pep rallies and elective classes to take intensive honors level courses in order to complete their high school requirements in just two years. The last two years they are enrolled in actual college courses and graduate from high school with two years of college credit. Opportunities like this are incredibly important for them. I truly appreciate your help everyone!
