Hope For Harper

Harper is a fun-loving, sweet 7 year old who moved from Japan to Hawaii with her sailor dad Phillip, her mom Erin and her younger siblings Noah and Grey just a few months ago. On Friday, July 7th, Harper began having stomach pains. After a trip to urgent, then to Tripler Army Medical Center and an ultrasound, a 10 cm mass was found in Harper's abdomen. Over the next 7 days, Harper underwent several scans and a procedure to biopsy the tumor and place a stent in her ureter to combat the pressure of the tumor. The results of the biopsy show that the cancer in Harpers abdomen is malignant and could be one of two types, Ewing's Sarcoma or Rhabdomyosarcoma. DNA testing is currently being done to determine which type Harper has and what treatments will be best but the doctors have prepared us for the need for chemotherapy at the very least. This fund will help Harper's family to pay for child care for Harper's siblings during treatments, gas and transportation, meals for the family, home-schooling supplies for Harper and any other expenses that might come up associated with Harper's journey.
