I have spent years of my life trying to be the best that I can be in education. I have been an educational leader for 8 years, spending 60 or more hours a week helping improve and change the climates of schools. I had become a high school principal and had a very bright career ahead, My wife was working in in the district running curriculum decisions for science in a major city. We were living the dream!
Dreams change, My second child, my daughter became sick and we chose to leave the high paying jobs we had to move somewhere healthier for our children. We are making significantly less money, but now, with our 4th child on the way... money is tight but we are happy! Happier than we ever were before.
My children are growing in mind, body and spirit. They are learning how trusting in God is important in life. That hard work pays off and working with the land is rewarding. We are living on about 2 acres of borrowed land and loving our life. I am back in a classroom and spending much more time with my kids than I ever could. My wife Rachel is home with the kids and loving her invaluable time and input in our children.
We want to make one change, We have a growing number of animals. Sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits, ducks and pigs. We are starting to need more land for them to roam and build our future home. Somewhere we can leave for our kids. A place to grow more than livestock, a place to grow our children into the amazing man and women of God that they can be. My children love life and helping around the farm. I want them to have all that God wants for them.
The money raised will go toward buying land for my family and farm to grow and thrive. Anything more will go towards building up a group cabin for youth groups to be able to meet for quiet time and refocus away from daily tech.
