Hi all,
I’m starting this Gofundme for my brother’s family which is very dear to me; he is going thru a VERY difficult time right now. They have been fighting for custody for both of his young children for the last 2 ½ years. His family has spent their whole savings which was over $30,000.00 for lawyers, counselors and expert witnesses and travel to fight for his children. Sadly, they were hit last week with yet another blow.
A leading expert in child custody cases was scheduled to testify on March 3rd. The biological mother knew that the expert was going to tell the Judge that the children had been alienated from their father and let the Judge know the different tactics she had used to try and keep him from completing his investigation and meeting with the children. After the expert was finally able to issue his reports to the attorneys, she asked that the case be moved out of Oklahoma to her new home in Ohio! Because of a change to Oklahoma law that only happened a few months ago, the Judge was forced to let the case be moved.
They will now have to fight for custody in a totally different state, so all the trips from where they live, attorney fees, counseling, expert witness, etc, for these children has to start all over again. They are devastated that everything they have put into this, their whole life savings into trying to get their children and put them in a safe and stable environment, has once again been failed by a loophole that didn’t even exist when the case started. Even though the systems are supposed to be looking out from the best interest of children, it has definitely failed these 2 kids! Fighting for a Father that has paid child support, been nothing but supportive, positive role model and the mother continues to get to lie and be above the law.
This family has 5 children total. Their oldest is son is deployed with the Military and they have 2 teenage daughters. They need help trying to bring their 2 youngest kids home to a safe stable environment to be with their family that loves them very much! Biological mom moved without saying goodbye, more importantly she left without the children saying good bye to anyone. These children didn’t know what was going on, only thing they could understand was that they all are leaving everything they have every known behind. Biological mom has not only removed dad, stepmom and siblings out of the children’s lives; she has removed all of dad’s family as well as her own extended family. That is when the real pain for the children begun; the lies about their father began.
The biological mother has put these children threw an emotional roller coaster over the last few years. Biological mom has told lies to DHS, counselors, police, doctors, etc… all of which have been refuted by every expert that has reviewed this case! My brother and his wife have the daily struggle with the worry of these kids, being neglected, abused, and feeling worthless. The biological mother has withheld these two children from seeing their father, step mother and siblings for over 2 1/2 years, which has been very detrimental to these children. The older of the two is failing in school. She has made comments to the children saying “that their grandfather and grandmother on the father’s side wanted to kill them.” “There family didn’t want anything to do with them.” She has made accusations to police, DHS, counselors, etc, which have come up to be to be lies.
The last time the children have seen their father was the fall of 2014, prior to that visit, the last time he saw them was in the summer of 2012. The visit in 2014, the Judge ordered that the children needed to see their father at a counselor’s office, after he finally saw through biological mom’s lies and deceit. It has come to light that on the way to the counseling office the biological mom and grandma told both of the children to tell the counselor that “they were scared of their father”, so she could continue to withhold them. Both children told the counselor what their mother had told them to say!
The counselor was ordered by the Judge to go thru all records from police, DHS, hospital, other counselors, etc. and to write an extensive report for the court, which he did. It was a very negative impact for the biological mother and exposed her for whom she really is, but yet the Judge has never read it, because biological mom has stalled the court system, by refusing to pay bills, show up at court when ordered, disobeying court orders, etc. All to buy herself more time and so her lies wouldn’t come out. She feels that she is above the law and she is too smart to get caught. Her lying, manipulation, has continued to destroy these children. It has been determined to them and they are not safe while in her care. The longer they stay there the worse the alienation from their family will become. Please help this precious family come together and help bring these sweet innocent babies home where they can be in a loving, stable environment daily and just be kids and not have to deal with all the stress, abuse and struggles they have been facing.
