Sean's lifelong dream has been to work in the Emergency Room of a bustling, city hospital.
The good news: After years of working to make that dream a reality, he has been accepted into an accelerated nursing program in Philadelphia!
The bad news: While Sean can apply for funding for the program itself, he must make a deposit to the program and take 2 pre-requisite courses this summer, and there is no funding available for that. The deposit, fees, credit hours, etc. to do this will cost about $3000. On top of the finances that will be lost due to work hours giving way to class and study hours.
We think we can handle his lost work hours by being extra frugal and picking up extra work where we can, but the $3000 seems impossible.
It's one little hurdle. One thing away from a brighter, more fulfilling future for Sean and for our family.
We know you don't have to help and we, quite frankly, feel a little silly asking for your help. But here we are asking anyway because we just have to try. And we are grateful for every single dollar that brings Sean a step closer to his dreams.
