Sensory room for Christopher

Christopher is our beautiful 6 year old grandson, we love him beyond words. He is high on the autistic spectrum and the workings of everyday life can be a struggle for him. This is further compounded due to Christopher being non- verbal. However, this doesn't stop him expressing his love and kindness to his Mum, Dad and big brother. He is cherished by them and they want him to have an environment that is conducive to all his many challenges. A sensory room would be one of our life ambitions for him. It would help him through those very long days, sometimes as long as 20 hours, for him and his mother. Medication works sometimes but unfortunately, it works both ways; up then down. He just loves to touch and look at bright coloured lights. He is very clever and loves hugs but on his terms. He needs a huge amount of attention, this he gets everyday from his amazing Mum. She truly is a rock for Christopher and just an amazing Mum to a very special boy. Ultimately, Christopher needs a sensory room, a place to dream where he can relax in his world. A place for him to relax from the pressure of living in our very confusing world. Your contribution will help give Christopher the sensory room he deserves.
